Chelsea wonderkid refuses another loan spell, looks likely for transfer

Yet again, Romelu Lukaku struggles to keep his cards close to his chest.

After successful loan spells in the Premier League, the Belgium striker is insistent that his future will not include another loan spell: “What I don’t want is to be loaned out. I am 21 and I have been loaned for the last two seasons. Thibaut Courtois was loaned for three seasons and will be without doubt the first-choice Chelsea goalkeeper.”

Yes, because he earned it.

“And Kevin De Bruyne has been transferred permanently to Wolfsburg.”

He was very poor for the Blues.

Lukaku continued: “They are free in their heads – it is not my case. That would free me totally.”

After scoring the extra-time winner over the USA in the knockout stages of the World Cup, Lukaku has, once again, been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, Juventus or Monaco. What Lukaku fails to realize is that he is seemingly distancing himself from Mourinho and Chelsea by continuing this charade. Or, perhaps that’s what he wants.
