According to Reports, Arsenal Have Opened Talks to Sign Coveted Chelsea Striker
According to Caught Offside, Arsenal are reportedly preparing to open up talks with Chelsea in the hopes of capturing the signature of coveted youngster Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku has had a blistering season at Everton, but his future at Chelsea remains in doubt following two years of stalled progress and loans.
Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the Belgian, and is now willing to cough-up a fee in the region of £28m for the striker.
Lukaku has hit an impressive 13 Premier League goals this season – averaging a goal every other game. However, Jose Mourinho does not yet appear to be convinced by the youngster, who is a self-confessed Chelsea fan.
With Arsenal’s attacking line dwindling at times this season, might Lukaku provide the perfect remedy for the Gunner’s strikeforce?
Time will tell whether or not Lukaku’s future is at Stamford Bridge. What is clear, however, is that speculation on his future is set to continue all summer long.
