According to Reports, Mourinho is “Confident” That Costa Deal is Done

Jose Mourinho is reportedly confident that Chelsea have tied up an outrageous £50m deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.

The striker is now prepared to sign a contract worth a massive £185,000-a-week in a major early transfer window move.

Atletico manager Diego Simeone has stated that the club won’t stand in the way of a move for Costa, and confirmed that he is Chelsea’s prime target stating “It will depend on him and what he thinks is best for his future. I will support any decision he makes.”

“It’s natural that Chelsea are interested in him and that makes me happy, because my aim and that of my coaching staff is to see our players improve.”

“We understand that Chelsea have huge financial power and if he wants to live off football for the rest of his life, I will have no problem in him going.”

“It was like Radamel Falcao – how could I tell him not to go to Monaco [last summer]? He gave his life to this club.”

This recent revelation adds yet another subplot to Chelsea’s semi-final versus Atletico, and with Jose confident and Simeone reconciled, it appears that Costa really is on his way to Stamford Bridge.

What do you think? Would this be a good move for Chelsea?
