According to Reports, Chelsea Have Lined Up Outrageous £90m PSG Raid
According to reports from Caught Offside, Chelsea have lined up an audacious £90m swoop for a talented PSG trio.
Ironically drawn with PSG in the Champions League quarter finals, Chelsea will hope to raid some of their best players this summer.
Chelsea are particularly interested in Edinson Cavani, left-back Lucas Digne and talented youngster Adrien Rabiot.
Most of Chelsea’s £90m will be dominated by the Cavani move which should amount to about £70m. Chelsea’s need for a top striker has been well-documented this season, and many pundits believe that a dominant forward might cement Chelsea’s place at the top of English football next season.
Lucas Digne is a talented French international left-back, and is seen by some as a potential long-term replacement for Ashley Cole. Cesar Azpilicueta has proven hugely successful in that role this season, but his apparent preferred position is right-back.
Digne only moved to PSG last summer, but has yet to cement a place in the PSG first team.
Rabiot, on the other hand, is seen as one of the hottest European youth prospects. He has started 13 fixtures this season, performing well. His recent wage increase demands have been rebuffed by PSG, opening the door for a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
What do you think? Should Chelsea move aggressively for these players? Or are they overpriced?
