Chelsea Reportedly Prepare Outrageous Offer for La Liga “Goal Machine”

Chelsea have reportedly prepared a stunning £20m move for La Liga “goal machine” Diego Costa, according to reports from CaughtOffside and Sports Direct News.

Chelsea have been in dire need of a new forward this season, and many commentators have suggested that they would be “walking” the league if they were armed with a quality striker.

However, in order to gain Costa’s services, Chelsea would apparently need to offer £20m PLUS Fernando Torres in a swap deal that would see the Spaniard return to his boyhood club.

Atletico Madrid have made something of a habit of cashing in on their top players, and it would appear that Costa is the next star to be added to that category.

Costa has scored 20 goals in only 22 La Liga starts, and his form this year has helped Atletico rise to join in on an unprecedented three-way title race in Spain.

Torres, on the other hand, has only sparkled occasionally at Stamford Bridge. While his performances this year have been good, he has been plagued by injury and has yet to really make an impact on this season.

What do you think? Would this be a good move for Chelsea? What about Atletico?
