Manchester United and Chelsea are set to go head-to-head in a summer battle to sign £54million striker Edinson Cavani.

Cavani’s representatives will meet United, Arsenal and Chelsea officials after the Premier League sides were alerted to the Uruguayan’s availability. Moyes has warned Manchester United forwards  to expect greater competition: the likes of Welbeck and Hernandez will be concerned by a move for Cavani.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will sell Demba Ba in the summer according to the Daily Mail. Samuel Eto’o is out of contract and Fernando Torres has overstayed his welcome, in the eyes of many Chelsea fans.

Big summer ahead for the likes of Arsenal, United and Chelsea with a talent like Edinson Cavani available.
