Bayern Munich Plan Outrageous Bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, According to Reports

By on February 5, 2014

Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing an audacious bid for Chelsea’s star midfield man Eden Hazard.

Bayern Munich have failed in their bid to sign highly-rated German wunderkind Julian Draxler, and so have turned their attention to the more seasoned Hazard as reinforcement for next season. Arsenal now become the favourites for Draxler’s signature.

Hazard has been in blistering form so far this season, and having only recently just turned 23, a large transfer sum still represents something of a shrewd investment. Hazard is leading Chelsea in both assists and goals scored so far this season.

Hazard has stated repeatedly that he intends to remain at Stamford Bridge – for the time being. However, a move to Bavaria is likely to entice the youngster, with the side widely being considered the very best in the world at the moment.

Chelsea paid a fee of £32m to sign Hazard in June of 2012, and the midfielder has managed to rack up an impressive 26 goals and 26 assists in only 94 appearances for the club so far.
