Gunners  fans may yet see Julian Draxler join Arsenal. The Bundesliga giants’ sporting director Horst Heldt told reporters that he would not rule any potential deal out between now and the end of the transfer window.

The Gunners will send representatives delegation to Germany this week, according to reports. Arsenal want to firm up the deal for the highly-rated attacker before Friday’s January transfer window deadline. But prior to Schalke’s Bundesliga match against Hamburg, Horst Heldt explained: ‘I can’t exclude anything, I don’t know what other clubs are planning. I only know what happens in our club – and nothing happens at the moment, so we don’t bother with this. We are very calm with this thing.’

Schalke reportedly want Arsenal to bid closer to the £37million release fee written into Draxler’s current deal, but the Premier League leaders, Arsenal, want to pay approximately £25million.
