Moyes ready to let promising youngster leave

Summer signing Wilfried Zaha will be allowed to go out on loan – but only if Manchester United’s injury concerns are allayed.

David Moyes wants to ensure that his options open with stars Nani and Ashley Young out of action. Zaha has been linked with a loan move to Cardiff, Newcastle and Crystal Palace after failing to establish himself at Old Trafford. The 21-year-old, who was Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing at Manchester United when arriving in a £15m deal from Crystal Palace, has made only five appearances since David Moyes took over.

Cardiff, managed by former Manchester United star Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, believed they had reached agreement with United in principle to sign Zaha to Wales on loan, but Ed Woodward scuppered the deal citing the injury concerns.

Has Moyes wasted the lad’s first season at the club, while Adnan Januzaj flourishes given first-team football.
