Arsenal & Liverpool set for battle over Barcelona star

Arsenal and Liverpool are both interested in Barcelona winger Pedro, who may consider his options at the end of the season. The Spain international, 26, has scored 10 La Liga goals this season, including a hat-trick.

“I am happy with Barcelona, but things have to be evaluated every season. My goal is to try and stay at this club where I feel very valued and loved.”

Pedro has seen his first-team opportunities lacking this season & may seek a move away.

“When you play less you do not feel less important, but it is true that you notice playing fewer minutes and it is different.

“But I must fight for my only goal, which is to continue with Barca.”

Pedro’s contract at Barca runs until 2016 and has a £125m buy-out clause – hardly reasonable for the likes of Arsenal or Liverpool.
