Arsenal Prepare “Ambitious” January Transfer Package for Juventus Star

By on December 20, 2013

According to reports from CaughtOffside and Sports Direct News, Arsenal have planned an ambitious transfer move for Juventus star striker Fernando Llorente.

Wenger has been desperate to sign cover for beleaguered striker Olivier Giroud, and Llorente could serve as the perfect assistant to the Frenchman. Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott have been injured for some time, and the Emirates side need strike cover that could fit in quickly.

Wenger had reportedly hoped to sign the forward before he moved to Juventus, but instead is now resigned to bringing the striker in at an increased fee.

Juventus, having failed to advance through the group stages of the Champions League this season, would reportedly consider offers for the striker.

The forward has only started nine of 16 possible matches in Serie A this season, and is reported to be keen on a swap to the current English Premier League leaders.
