According to Spanish paper Cuatro, David Luiz has already agreed a deal to sign for Barcelona.

Apparently a fee in the region of £25m has been agreed upon, as Barcelona are reportedly desperate for defensive reinforcements. Barca boss Gerardo Martino sees David Luiz as the perfect man for the job, and is hugely keen to acquire the Brazilian’s services as soon as possible.

Jose Mourinho has made little use of the former Benfica man – although he has spent a significant amount of time on the injury list at Stamford Bridge.

David Luiz has made only 5 Premier League starts this term, with Gary Cahill often played ahead of the Brazilian.

However, Mourinho has suggested recently that David Luiz’ recent return from injury could spell a prompt return to the Starting 11.

David Luiz has helped Chelsea to the Champions League and Europa league titles, but there have been a number of inconsistent displays that have frustrated a number of Chelsea managers.

Barcelona, though, only have two senior center-backs at their disposal: Gerard Pique and Carlos Puyol. Barcelona are reportedly desperate to sign David Luiz who is often seen as Puyol’s natural heir.

What do you think? Should Luiz go to the Nou Camp?
