Barcelona to battle with Arsenal & United for Dortmund star

By on December 9, 2013

Manchester United’s hopes of signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan appear slimmer as it appears that Barcelona want him.

The Spanish press report that Gundogan’s father has already met some of the Barcelona executive board as they battle with their rivals for the 23-year-old’s services. Manchester United are keen on the German international, who has also been a target for both Arsenal and Real Madrid. It would seem that David Moyes is desperate to bolster his midfield following Michael Carrick’s injury.

Marouane Fellaini just hasn’t done it for Moyes and United so far, and the 27.5 million pound man might need to improve rather quickly. United are struggling in the Premier League & are 15 points behind Arsenal after just 15 matches.
