Why did Manchester United’s Official Twitter tweet “Moyes Out”?

By on December 7, 2013

The interwebs were awash with speculation this evening when Manchester United’s official Twitter account tweeted “#MoyesOut” following their second straight home defeat.

The Red Devils lost 1-0 for the second match in a row at Old Trafford – the first time that United have lost twice in a row at home since 2002. This was also the first time that Newcastle had achieved victory at Old Trafford in a whopping 41 years.

Logically then, many frustrated fans were tweeting about their disapproval of Manchester United manager David Moyes. However, many were shocked when they saw United’s official twitter account do the same thing.

Reports are coming in that United’s Twitter account was “hacked.” Regardless, bad news appears to be piling up for Moyes and this was one more headache that he could have done without.
