Arsenal Make Move for 20-Year Old Belgian Prodigy

Arsenal are reportedly set to make a move for Belgian starlet Michy Batshuayi. The young player has been in prolific form this season so far, and has attracted attention from a number of top European clubs.

The 20-year old has scored a whopping 20 goals so far this season for Standard Liege in all competitions, a record that rivals Europe’s best.

Those statistics, as well as the young age of the player, have attracted the attention of perpetual youth-scout Arsene Wenger.

Wenger has reportedly sent club scouts on multiple occasions to observe his progress, and is apparently interested in finally making a move for the player this summer.

The Standard Liege president ruled out any January switch, and insisted that Batshuayi would not be sold to any club this season.

“What is new is the interest of Arsenal in Michy, they’re one of the many clubs who follow our striker,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws.

“We’re not willing to let Michy go this season.”

Arsenal are therefore apparently preparing for a substantial bid this summer in order to bring in this hot European prospect.
