Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City in battle to sign “coveted” 18 year old
A whole host of Premier League teams, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool are set to face off over the signing of French wunderkind Kurt Zouma.
The 18 year old Saint-Etienne defender has become one of the most “coveted” prospects in Europe, and the competition over his signature is likely to be fierce in the coming months.
Zouma has already rejected that he is likely to move to French giants Lyon, telling Vert Foot: “I could not play for that team, even if they offered me £15m a year. If I went to Lyon, I feel I would be betraying Saint-Etienne and its fans.”
The youngster has already produced some impressive displays in Ligue 1, having made almost 50 appearances since his debut in 2011.
Inter Milan are reportedly another interested party, and there are suggestions that there might be a bid for the youngster made in January.
Whatever the club, Zouma has been hailed as perhaps the brightest prospect currently in the French top-flight, and is certainly one of the top young targets in Europe.
Manchester United, City, and Chelsea have all reportedly sent scouts to observe his progress, and the stage is likely set for a battle to sign this coveted youngster.
