Another Chelsea star is axed by Mourinho
Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne appears set for a January exit from Chelsea after being demoted to the U21 squad and left out of their Champions League squad.
De Bruyne has not travelled with the Blues for Tuesday’s match against Steaua Bucharest.
It is believed that De Bruyne may seek to leave Chelsea when the transfer window opens, either on loan or permanently to save his World Cup hopes. The 22-year-old Belgian rejected another loan spell at Werder Bremen, while Champions league finalists Borussia Dortmund also wanted him.
De Bruyne was dropped from the match-day squad for the London derby against Tottenham. Questions about his exclusion prompted Mourinho to cut short his pre-match press conference.
£30million summer signing Willian and Juan Mata are ahead of the Belgian youngster in the pecking order as he battles to save his Chelsea career.
