Chelsea agree €58million fee with Napoli, but Edinson Cavani’s agent rejects reports

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a fee with Napoli for the transfer of Edinson Cavani, but the player’s agent rejects the claims.

The Europa League winners have been linked with Radamel Falcao and Edinson Cavani in recent transfer windows, but, with Falcao joining AS Monaco in a big-money move, Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the Uruguayan Cavani. Chelsea have been searching for a stronger goal-threat that Fernando Torres who managed over 20 goals in the 2012/13 but has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Napoli have reportedly accepted a €58million offer for their prized striker, Napoli radio station Radio Marte revealed on Monday night. However, Edinson Cavani’s agent, Claudio Anellucci, has not confirmed the deal with Chelsea for the Napoli star: “There is nothing complete with Chelsea,”

The transfer saga rumbles on.
