Arsenal readying huge bid for Fiorentina star Stevan Jovetic
The Daily Telegraph report that Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash to secure Montenegro star striker Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina (report)

Arsenal have a large transfer budget after the sale of key players in recent summer transfer windows but also a new, lucrative sponsorship deal with Emirates has filled the Gunners’ coffers. The deal for Stevan Jovetic would break Arsenal’s transfer record, if figures are to be believed.
Jovetic, 23, is seen as a potential Premier League star and has scored 9 Serie A goals in 18 appearances – a decent record. Arsenal had been previously keen on Barcelona’s David Villa but that move was scuppered by the Spanish side. Fresh, younger strikers are seen as the best investments for a club that has gone nearly 8 years without a trophy.
The Gunners will also have considerable contractual freedom following the imminent departures of Sebastian Squillaci and Andrei Arshavin, Nicklas Bendtner, Marouane Chamakh, Johan Djourou and Park Chu-young.
With a hefty transfer budget, Arsenal may be the team to watch in the summer transfer window.
