Manchester City set to sign Barcelona wonderkid Gerard Deulofeu
Manchester City are set to sign Barcelona starlet 18-year old Gerard Deulofeu from FC Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail

City have overtaken Champions League winners Chelsea in the race to secure a deal for the the 18-year-old – £8.1million buy-out clause will dictate the transfer fee.
Manchester City are apparently ready to double his wages and the Premier League champions’ new sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, has extensive contacts at Barcelona.
Deulofeu, only on a youth contract, has refused to sign a new deal to June 2017. City look set to step in.
Tito Vilanova, Barcelona’s first-team coach, said of the youngster: ”He is a player with a lot to offer, but he still needs to improve a lot before he can form part of the Barca first team…\…we should not forget that he is still very, very young.”
It remains to be seen if Manchester City can sign Gerard Deulofeu in the January transfer window, but it seems possible.
