Gareth Bale: I’m not afraid to go abroad – Real Madrid and Barcelona linked
Tottenham Hotspur’s speedy winger Gareth Bale who has been consistently linked with a move away from London has stated that he would ‘look seriously’ at offers from a top foreign club.

Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to the Telegraph, fit within that category of the right sort of team for Bale.
Of course, the summer transfer window brought Luka Modric to Real Madrid with Spurs holding out for £30 million. Andre Villas-Boas’ side would want a fee far greater than that for Gareth Bale, you would suspect.
“It would be nice to experience other leagues and other cultures,” Bale said. “I’m not afraid to go abroad. If the time comes and a team that’s right comes in for me, then I’ll look at it seriously. I’ll see what happens.”
Gareth Bale is contracted with Spurs until 2016 which puts Spurs in a strong bargaining position. Bale has been invaluable to Spurs and AVB’s start to the season with the Welshman grabbing six Premier League goals.
Gareth Bale has previously been quoted as being ‘flattered’ by interest from Barcelona. Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has also been a keen admirer of the speedy winger. With Spurs pushed out of the Champions League following Chelsea’s triumph in May, the club found it difficult to keep hold of Luka Modric. Keeping Gareth Bale could become an equally difficult task for AVB and Spurs.
